What is enabled now

Google Analytics is configured as our only optional website analytics service. It runs only after you allow it. Essential authentication and preference storage are separate from analytics.

No advertising pixels, session-replay service or cross-site ad-personalization integration is configured by this website. Polar or Google/GitHub sign-in may use their own necessary storage when you deliberately open those services. The site’s fonts are served locally, so a page visit does not fetch fonts from Google Fonts.

Cookies and similar storage

Name / providerPurposeLifetime / choice
sb-…-auth-token and numbered chunks / SupabaseAuthenticate your website session. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax; Secure on HTTPS production.Cookie expiry up to 400 days under the current library, refreshed with session changes and cleared on local sign-out. Actual token/session validity can be shorter. Essential for account functions.
sb-…-auth-token-code-verifier / SupabaseProtect an OAuth/email recovery flow using PKCE.Normally cleared when the flow completes. An abandoned verifier can remain until its cookie expires or you clear site data; it does not mean the sign-in link stays valid. Essential for the flow.
licuse_terms_flow / LicuseCarry the displayed terms version through a social sign-in redirect. HttpOnly; separate from optional analytics consent.10 minutes, or removed when the callback completes.
licuse_auth_next / LicuseReturn you to the IDE connection approval page after website sign-in. Contains the validated callback request, not your password or access/refresh tokens. HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax; Secure on HTTPS production. Essential for this sign-in flow.10 minutes, or removed when the authentication callback completes.
licuse_consent / LicuseRemember accepted/rejected optional analytics choice, version and choice date. Not an advertising identifier.180 days; updated when you make a new choice. Essential to remember that choice.
_ga and _ga_… / Google AnalyticsDistinguish browser visits and maintain analytics session information on public pages.Only after opt-in, if enabled. This integration sets a 180-day browser lifetime without automatically extending it on each visit. You can withdraw and clear these cookies through Cookie settings.
Provider storage / Google/GitHub sign-in and PolarAuthentication, payment security and checkout/portal operation when opened by you.Controlled by the external service and browser. See provider policies; the Licuse banner cannot delete another domain’s cookies.

Optional analytics has a narrow scope

After you allow analytics, the Google tag measures visits to public website, documentation, legal and article pages. Enabled enhanced measurement can also record 90% scroll depth, outbound link clicks and their destination URLs, file-download links and filenames, and engagement with supported embedded YouTube videos. Login, signup, recovery, dashboard, billing and API pages are outside our measurement allowlist. Our manually sent page views omit URL query strings and fragments. Google still receives analytics identifiers and network/device information; this is not anonymous collection.

We do not intentionally send account IDs, email addresses, prompts, file contents, API keys or form values as analytics events. The intended GA4 stream setup keeps enhanced measurement on, but turns off automatic browser-history page views (we send one filtered page view ourselves), site search and form interactions. Advertising storage and personalization are denied in the tag; Google Signals, user-provided data collection and advertising links should also remain off in the Google property. The operator must verify these property settings before enabling the tag.

Cookie expiry is not deletion of all previously collected reports. Google property settings separately control event/user data retention; the planned setup uses two months without resetting retention on new activity. Aggregated reports can persist differently. See Google’s retention explanation.

Accept, reject or change your mind

Open Cookie settings on this page at any time. Before your first choice, the settings panel also appears on public pages when optional analytics is enabled. “Reject optional” is as available as “Allow analytics”. Without an affirmative choice, we do not load the analytics tag, including cookieless analytics pings. Browsing, closing the panel or agreeing to terms does not count as optional analytics consent.

Withdrawing stops this site’s analytics integration, removes its accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies and reloads if needed to unload the tag. It does not automatically erase reports already held by Google. You may also clear browser site data or contact us about an applicable deletion request. Blocking essential cookies may prevent account functions; rejecting analytics does not.
